Trapezoidal metal sheets for roofing, structure and cladding

Trapezoidal metal sheet is the workhorse of metal roofing and cladding. The MEPRODIS range includes TP26 SUPER, the T range (roofing, structural and cladding profiles, from T 6 to T 200) and PF 25 corrugated sheet. Every profile is made to length, from 0.5 m, for merchants, distributors, manufacturers and building contractors.

Roofing sheets

For roofing, profiles from T 14 to T 60P cover light buildings (sheds, garages, carports, farm buildings) as well as long spans. TP26 SUPER, micro-ribbed with 26 mm ribs, can be laid from 8° (14%) and suits garages, sheds, industrial halls and houses alike. Depending on profile and thickness, maximum lengths range from 6 to 14 m.

Structural decks

High-inertia structural profiles from T 50P to T 200 are used as roof decks and for long-span structures. Thicknesses reach 1.25 to 1.50 mm on the deepest profiles, supplied in polyester or galvanised finish.

Cladding sheets and corrugated sheet

For façades, cladding profiles from T 6 to T 60P and PF 25 corrugated sheet cover industrial, agricultural, commercial and residential buildings. Perforated sheets are available for acoustic correction, and anti-condensation felt can be applied to the underside.

Available coatings

Gloss (25 µm) or matt (35 µm) polyester, hybrid (40 µm), polyurethane (50 µm), zinc (200 or 275 g/m²) and aluzinc (150 or 185 g/m²): the choice depends on exposure, appearance and budget. Face 1 carries the decorative coat and face 2 a primer; for cladding, the visible face is specified when ordering.

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum pitch for a trapezoidal metal sheet?

The minimum pitch depends on the panel model. In France it must comply with DTU 40.35 (NF P34-205, roofing in profiled coated steel sheets) where applicable, as well as the manufacturer’s requirements; it depends in particular on the profile, rafter length, end laps, climate zone and site exposure. As a guide, TP26 SUPER can be laid from 8° (14%). Our technical team confirms the permissible pitch for your project.

What is the maximum length?

Depending on profile and thickness, from 4 to 14 m; each page gives the exact value. Beyond that, the roof plane is made of several sheets with an end lap or with a step.

Is anti-condensation felt needed?

It is recommended under the roofs of uninsulated buildings. It is applied before the trapezoidal metal sheets are profiled; then follow the installation recommendations to avoid capillary rise.

What is the difference between a roofing and a cladding sheet?

The profile is often the same, but the decorative face is on a different side: on a roof face 1 is on top; on cladding it faces outwards. That is why each profile has a roofing page and a cladding page.
