Metal roof tiles: tile-effect roofing for the trade
A metal roof tile, also called metal roof tile, reproduces the look of a tiled roof with the light weight, fast installation and long life of coated steel. MEPRODIS offers twelve models, from the ROMA Roman tile to the contemporary PLATINE and OPALE shapes, for merchants, distributors and manufacturers who build or supply houses, modules, sheds and extensions.
Modular or cut to length: two ways of buying
Modular panels (OPALE, TOPAZE, PLATINE, PLATINE PLUS, AGATE, MODULAR ROMA and the modular versions of LOARA, QUARTZ and SAFIR) have a fixed format: they are easy to stock, palletise and resell, which makes them the natural choice for merchants and branches. Cut-to-length panels (ROMA, RUBIS and the cut-to-length versions of LOARA, QUARTZ and SAFIR) are made to the rafter length: fewer overlaps, less waste and faster installation, on site or on a production line.
Choosing a model by pitch and project
Minimum pitch depends on the model: 9° for the cut-to-length versions of ROMA, RUBIS, SAFIR, LOARA and QUARTZ; 15° for MODULAR ROMA and the modular versions of LOARA, QUARTZ and SAFIR; 22° for KARO; 25° for OPALE, TOPAZE, PLATINE, PLATINE PLUS and AGATE. For the low pitches of sheds, carports and modules, cut-to-length models are the most versatile. For steep roofs with a strong style, OPALE, PLATINE or AGATE give an architectural finish.
Coatings, weight and durability
Depending on the model, panels come in gloss polyester, coarse matt, TOPMAT, PURMAT and PURLAK. The PURMAT and PURLAK polyurethane coatings form a thicker protective layer than polyester and are chosen for matt finishes and demanding environments. At about 4.7 kg/m², RUBIS can cover light timber frames and renovate roofs whose structure has weakened.
Who is it for?
- Builders’ and timber merchants: a stockable range of metal roof tiles with matching screws, filler strips, connectors and flashings.
- Mobile home, chalet and module manufacturers: consistent formats and identical colours from one series to the next.
- Shed, garage and carport manufacturers: light panels cut to length, suited to low pitches.
CE marking covers all metal roof tiles. TOPAZE, OPALE, LOARA, KARO, AGATE, ROMA, RUBIS and SAFIR also have a Type III environmental product declaration (EPD).
